Our wedding will take place in northern Croatia, near a town called Opatija. This is a beautiful coastal resort town with a rich history and plenty of reasons to visit! Getting to Opatija
The closest major airport is Rijeka Airport (RJK), located about 40 minutes away by car, with direct flights from various European cities. Alternatively, you can fly into Trieste Airport (TRS) in Italy, or Pula Airport (PUY) or Zagreb Airport (ZAG), which are all about 1 to 2 hours away by car. Once you arrive, rental cars are available at all major airports, offering flexibility to explore the region. For those who prefer not to drive, Opatija is well-connected by public transportation, with regular bus services from Rijeka, Pula, and Zagreb. Trains are also an option and can bring you to Rijeka from airports that are farther away. The nearest train station is in Rijeka, just a short distance from Opatija, and a local bus or taxi ride will take you into town.
Getting to Villa Ariston
Villa Ariston is located along the scenic seaside promenade between the charming town of Ičići and the historic center of Opatija. From the center of Opatija, it's approximately a 25-minute walk (2 km) to the villa, if you are up for a pleasant stroll along the Adriatic coast. Alternatively, taxis and local buses are readily available for those preferring a quicker or more comfortable journey. The villa is situated near the Punta Kolova bus station, making public transportation options easily accessible. For guests arriving by car, Villa Ariston provides free private parking on-site. Whether walking, driving, or using public transport, reaching Villa Ariston from central Opatija is straightforward and scenic.
